Vehicle inspection sheets: which one does your shop need?

Three printable vehicle inspection sheets, one for each place a car changes hands. Each one fills in on screen and carries your shop’s name.

Pick by the job

Where does the sheet get filled in?

A repair bay, a rental or loaner counter and a used-vehicle desk each need a different sheet. The bay uses the multi-point inspection. The counter uses the check-in and check-out record. The lot gets the condition report. All three carry your shop’s name, and each kit is $4.00.

Multi-Point Inspection Kit

A two-sided multi-point inspection for the bay. A findings and estimate page for the counter. Shop standards you set once.

Used-Vehicle Condition Report Kit

FAQ

Questions shops ask

Something else? hello@inspectioncard.com

What is an inspection checklist?

A list of items to check on a vehicle. On our sheets each item is a line with a result and a note. The header carries your shop’s name, so the list becomes a record you can hand to the customer.

What is an inspection form?

An inspection form is a sheet where a person records what they checked and what they found. On our sheets each check is one line with a result and a note. The three kits differ in the job they record: a repair inspection, a rental check-out and check-in, or a used car’s condition.

What is a vehicle inspection paper?

On this site a vehicle inspection paper is the printed sheet your shop hands to the customer. It is not a state inspection certificate or sticker. The sheet records what your shop checked, with your shop’s name at the top.

Where can I get a checklist template?

Our free sample is a fillable PDF of side 1 of the multi-point inspection, with no sign-up. The paid kits add the other sheets, filled samples and a logo tool. All of them are PDF files, not Word or Excel templates.

Which form do I need for a loaner car?

For a loaner car, use the Rental & Loaner Check-In / Check-Out Kit. It records the condition and readings when the loaner goes out and when it comes back.

Which form do I need for a trade-in or a used car on the lot?

For a trade-in or a used car, use the Used-Vehicle Condition Report Kit. It records condition with the VIN and lists the reconditioning work. It does not value the car.

Hand them what you checked.
